The Well Church Core Beliefs
Transformation is real. As a body of faith, we accept the Holy scriptures as the revealed truth and will of God; the all-sufficient rule of faith and practice - and for the purpose of maintaining general unity - adopt the following statement of fundamental truths in our community of believers:
We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only-infallible authoritative word of God. We believe that there is one God eternally existent in three individuals: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His crucifixion, and in His bodily resurrection for the forgiveness of our sins. We believe in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and we have full faith and hope of His personal, visible future return to this earth to receive to Himself His church - that it may be with Him for eternity.
We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ. We believe that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation. We believe the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing of the human body and spirit in answer to believing prayer.
We believe that the Baptism with the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for it. We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling in us, the Christian is enabled to experience a new birth, live a Holy life, and experience transformation.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the one to everlasting life and the other everlasting damnation. We believe in the manifestation and operation of the fruits of the Sprit and the gifts of the Holy Spirit are for today and until the Lord returns.
